Sleek and engaging for two distinct audience groups.

What does an “open-door policy” look like in a digital space? It’s a website that is visually stimulating, welcoming and showcases insights and perspectives to appeal to a mix of target audiences.

When a company like Helium Evolution relies on the commitment from investors, having a sleek, engaging website is key. It’s the first place their potential investors will go to learn about their company and the value it represents. However, it’s also an educational resource and tool for interested community members who may not know a lot about helium opportunities and want to expand their knowledge.

Helium Evolution was going public and needed their website ready at the same time. We were FirstUp and ready to execute.

The Ask

Build a site to effectively communicate with investors and educate potential investors about Helium and the value the company represents.

The Challenge

The scope of knowledge and understanding about Helium is very different between their target audience groups:

1. Informed investors who are knowledgeable about helium, are engaged with the company already and are interested in keeping an eye on quarterly reports and financial statements.

2. Interested community members, looking to advance their understanding and be educated about the value proposition of mining helium. They also have potential to turn into future investors.

We needed to create a site that found a balance between entry level knowledge sharing for newbies and informational aspects for existing investors.

Creative solutions

Dimension

When you walk into a store or an office, there is an impression; you get a feeling for the space. We wanted to create a similar experience when you open the Helium Evolution site. With key impact statements overlaid on large, sprawling videos across all of the top-line pages, the visitor’s interest is piqued immediately. Whether you’ve been to the site a dozen times or you’re a first time viewer, that dimension and interest keeps you interested and looking to explore further.

Perspective

When speaking to existing and potential investors, a timeline is key to offer perspective and to show action. Helium was going public at the same time as the site was being launched and showcasing their growth trajectory was a way to instill confidence in the visitor about the product and the vision.

Information collaboration

The entire site was built around having a clear understanding of the needs of the different audience groups. It was through extensive conversations with Helium stakeholders and partners that we developed the different pages of content. While there is an entire section specifically targeted towards investors, there is also a Helium 101 page; a focused, educational area to allow new visitors to learn and advance their knowledge about helium and its role in scientific advancement.
